PowerDVD has a built in screen capture function. Plus PC's do have a 'built
in' screen capture. 'ALT-prtScn'.

Subject: [thelist] DVD question

I seriously fear I'm way outside the scope of the list here -- but
then again it is about computer tech and one COULD, technically, need
to do this at some point... (rationalizations here... :-))....

I have two different computer DVD software packages, WinDVD and
PCFriendly DVD. I wanted to do a screen capture of one of the
images. When I captured it (using PaintShop Pro, as PhotoShop
doesn't seem to have a screen capture, nor do PCs by default [mac
does]), it was okay; it showed up fine in PSP. When I saved the
image -- it said it worked fine on the save, and still displayed fine
still... but then when I went and opened the TIF file that I had
saved, it was just black.

Is this some kind of copyright protection? Or did I not do something
I should have? Does anybody know how to capture/save images from DVD
on-screen computer display?

Regards,
Palyne
