I feel your pain ;-)

But you have a fresh field to get it right, rather than trying to fix
stuff which is already broken.

I suggest some browsing at http://www.vignette.com/ and http://www.allaire.com/products/spectra/ - both of them have pretty good models. (ie good CMS vendors - take a look at my CMS article for more).

There's also a bunch of Forrester stuff if your co. has the cash.
