Eduardo,

Probably the simplest way to keep this number hidden is to not store it as a
number at all!  Store it as a text string using a simple substitution code.
Whoever generates this number can also generate a key that equates each
digit as a letter.  For example, the number "2465" might equal "kypi"
where...
k=2, y=4, p=6, and i=5.

As long as you don't use the same key each time, the code is essentially
uncrackable.
