Fetch did think it was still waiting for a file list a couple of times, but it
looked the same as when it *wasn't* still waiting.

I just hit 'stop' and it was fine. Uploading & downloading were both
smurfy.

It's maybe not the rock solidity you'd maybe want, but it works, certainly.
More a "We'll go with it and tinker later".
