George (and all other Europeans out there),

You might be interested to know that the EU's Data Protection Working Group
is currently considering proposals to make sending of unsolicited email an
illegal activity within the EU.

The Register has a good article
(http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/1/14588.html) on this, with relevant
links.

What's good about this is that it would make it a crime to send Spam to an
EU citizen, regardless of the source.
