First off, thats a lot of people on a pipe like that :)

You're in luck though. For looking at what ports are open on your
machines, I highly suggest NMAP (http://www.insecure.org/nmap/ ). Its a
port scanner with a lot of nice options/features.

As for reporting how much traffic you're putting through your pipe, a
tool like MRTG is an excelent option. It outputs live usage graphs based
on SNMP information from your router and can be configured 100's of
different ways. You can get it from
