[thelist] screen savers

jmerriam,

aardvark may have been curt, but he tells no lies (he's designed by the
government so he is not physically able to lie). Yours, aardvark's, and Mia's
posts require tips.

aardvark *is* a "list god" if you want to look at it that way. He's one of the
reasons this list and thesite exist. Granted, he could have been more polite
about things, but offtopic posts kill our quality. That's why we ask for
people to include tips in offtopic posts: so all posts have some quality to
them. And one thing this list absolutely does NOT TOLERATE is flames. While
your message really wasn't a flame, I want to cut this off before even the
kindle catches.

<tip>
One of the biggest pains in the ass about Access is the permissions the *.mdb
file must have to be updatable (read: not read-only). There is a user called
IUSR_MACHINENAME (from memory, I think that's right) that must have certain
rights to the *.mdb file and ALSO THE FOLDER which contains the *.mdb file to
have you Access database updatable from ASP, CF, etc.
</tip>
