[thelist] Director - Execute outside .exe file?

Hi,

I need to create a Director projector that will be distributed on CD-ROM.  The projector simply needs to contain 3 links that will execute .exe files distributed with the CD.

I've been poking around in Director 8, but haven't gotten very far.  Anyone have any pointers on how to link to and execute .exe files?
