[thelist] .com Re-registration

Network Solutions admits, and is KNOWN, to hold on to domains until the
registered domain holder
either renews it or tells NSI to remove it. Unfortunately, there's no
workaround other than contacting
the registered holder.

Hello Listees,

A domain name registered with Network Solutions has the following entries on
the whois lookup:

Record last updated on 09-Nov-1998.
   Record expires on 09-Nov-2000.
   Record created on 09-Nov-1998.
Database last updated on 6-Dec-2000 15:14:57 EST.

Now, to my eyes that means that the cybersquatter hasn't renewed the domain
name and yet it's not available, apparently.

Am I missing something fundamental?

TVM

Richard
