Your post sounds like a point-by-point description of dreamweaver...or maybe
DW UltraDev for ASP stuff.

When I do PHP stuff, I just work in homesite...in a 'project'. When its time
to execute/view, I just upload the project (to a local
directory...c:\inetpub) and view in the browser via PWS (or, IIS in my
case). This has worked well for me.

I would suggest buying DW, since it comes with Homesite. All of the needs
you expressed will be met between these two programs.
