well, the purely theoretical reason, one which marketers seem to find
is the most reasonable reason, is that if you are sharing an IP
address with another of the hosting company's customers, if that other
customer does some naughty things with their site, or whatever, then
there is the potential for the IP address being revoked... or summat
like that... leaving your site unaccessible.

Now, of course, there is no doubt a largish number of ppl on the list
who can describe this in a bit more non-nonsensical way, but that'll
hafta do until they get 'round to responding...
