You already found the simulation at FlashKit, but for realtime reading of
the audio file and plotting of frequency range you're likely looking at the
more capable Shockwave Player.

(Background: The Macromedia Flash Player is optimized for small footprint,
enabling widespread distribution and easy portability. The extensible
Shockwave Player instead focuses on taking deeper advantage of full
computers.)

The Audio Xtra for Shockwave, available from UpdateStage, exerts low-level
control over audio files, and as one of its features can retrieve the
current sample's frequency range and create a graphic of the waveform...
see methods at:
<http://www.updatestage.com/xtras/doc/audio/helpaudx.htm#PlotWaveform>

Jump up a level for more documentation and description. This Xtra can be
auto-installed into Shockwave... although the basic distribution does not
include this code, it's one of the abilities which can be added on-the-fly
when someone visits the page. There's a demonstration version available so
you can check if the type of display is what you're looking for.
