What I am going to do is turn my old computer into a Linux box acting like a

personal server that will in fact connect to an outside server for dsl.  My 
new computer will be running Windows 2000 Pro and connecting to the Linux 
box.  This to me seems the best mix of both worlds.  I am lucky that I have 
never came accross Windows ME and never want to.

Mostly, I just need to free up the current machine, figure out Linux and
just be done with the whole mess -- soon. Very soon.
