[thelist] New Red Hat User, Trying to Start Apache

Jorah - 

If you did a default install, your apache got put into /etc/httpd

there should be a conf/ directory in there and a couple others.. to
actually start it up, try
/etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd start 
or
/etc/rc.d/init.d/apache start

depends on what version of RH you have
