At least one browser (WebTV) substitutes its own message unless
you have a complete URL. 

I don't know of any downside to specifying an ErrorDocument this 
way, and it's a lot simpler for many figure out what they need to specify:

ErrorDocument 404 http://www.mydomain.top/404.html
