Forgive me if this has been covered in previous discussions.

What options are their in auto-populating a PDF file with data
captured via a form on a website. I need to collect data and then
interpret the data and place it in a PDF file for later printing.
Capturing the data to a database is no problem... the creation of
the formatted PDF is not so easy.

Form Tools and Tab Merge PDF via :
http://www.itlab.musc.edu/toolbox.htm

works well on my local server but requires loading of Java on the
web server which presents a problem to me.

Any similar, or better tools out there?

I think I can use Acrobat forms, but I prefer data capture via a
HTML/PHP or equivalent method.
