[thelist] e-com packages

Miva is a pain in the neck in many ways. You have to pay for modules in
order to customize the site, or use one of the two templates whcic come with
the program. There is a user group on line, and there are those who
subscribe to the list and leave in frustration. Our store uses it:

Miva is not easily customized. Miva is also expensive, and they usually
dont offer support if you modify their code.

Subject: [thelist] e-com packages

yo.

we've started looking into a hosted e-com shopping app for a client that we
can build onto quickly, but somewhat flexible so we can customize when
needed. Right now I'm focusing on Miva Merchant and Mercantec's Softcart.

Does anyone have any experience (good/bad/otherwise) with either of these
packages? Are there any others that you'd recommend?

Thanks in advance.

Alan
