[thelist] SMTP service on IIS

Thanks Scott - I found your Evolt article on using the SMTP pickup directory
earlier - very useful.
Here's the issue - I found the pickup directory under Exchange server (it's
\ExchSrvr\Imcdata\pickup). However the mail server we have is sitting on our
network and our webserver is on our ISP's network. We have a leased line
between the two and I was hoping that they could simply create a connection
from the webserver to our machine so that Jmail could dump files into the
pickup directory.
Unfortunately they can't create a connection as the machines are on separate
networks (or something - I suspect it's more that it creates a bit of a
security hole for them).
We are now toying with the idea of creating the mail files on the webserver
and using a simple script on the local machine to grab the files and
download them to the pickup directory. A roundabout way of doing it, but it
should probably work.
I've been trying to solve this problem for months! I'm afraid to hope I
might finally be getting near a solution (touches wood dramatically!).
