Joxn, I am myself also from Germany, but me let add some comments:

I have frequently seen price declerations like D(E)M 3454,45. Although been
taught using the comma to seperate the decimals I think the DIN and the
"Duden" will change the comma-decimal-system to the dot-decimal-system. I
think this will happen, after the Euro is introduced as the common paying
currency, for the other countries in the EU also have the
dot-decimal-system.
