Yes, just a bad element choice....

That's strange because this:

<div style="cursor: hand; cursor: pointer;">Test</div>

produces the pointing hand for me in both IE6 and Mozilla on Win2K, and 
I'm pretty positive it's worked before on at least IE5.5/Win98 and Win 2K.
