Anyone have any favourite vendors for purchasing house brand systems?
Id like to get an Intel 700 or so machine for the house, but dont want to
spend 1000$ on it (more like 300$).
Ive searched all over www.pricewatch.com and found several good deals in
that price neighborhood, but am interested in what anyone else has found.
Any ideas?

WinXP RC1, with a fast enough system (read: 700mhz/512mb RAM), is remarkably
stable and easy to use.  BUT (big but here) the audio support and
compatibility is horrible.  WMP, WinAmp, MSN Music, and almost every other
audio-related application Ive tried has crashed within a few minutes of use.
When not using anything audio-related, I have encountered zero problems and
am very impressed with the features and stability.
I hope future releases are a bit more audio-friendly.
