No. Windows XP will presumably run IE out of the box, and you could install
Netscape if you like. If you run IE, It will run "JScript" which is what MS
calls their implementation of JavaScript. JavaScript is what they call it in
Mozilla or Netscape. ECMAScript is the spec hopefully both current
implementations meet.

Java Server Pages run on the /server side/ - and while they do use Java -
none of that code is inflicted on the browser (client side) - generally JSP
spits out html which the browser then interprets.

"Customer Lock-in" - It's in Microsoft's interest, presumably, to not allow
Netscape plug-ins, and instead have people use ActiveX, which is a Microsoft
Technology. MS would much prefer people not use Quicktime anyway, because
it's not a MS Technology.

I'd call what MS is up to lately no different than the behavior which lost
them the antitrust suit.
