hmmm... but it only happens on that page... must be some 
combination of the two -- the content and CSS.... didn't occur to 
me to turn off CSS, thanks for that tip...

no nested layers... tables, that's about it... rather old-browser-
friendly...

the CSS is pretty good, only a couple errors (which aren't errors, 
per se) outside of the whole "no background color" batch of 
warnings...
