[thelist] validating while using php

Encode the & as & (or ? or whatever it is, can't remember offhand)

The validator is expecting &id; to exist, but it doesn't, hence the "unknown
entity" error.

I am trying to validate a site to html 4.01

and while validating I get this error:

                                         ^
Error: unknown entity "id" 
how do I work around this?
