[thelist] nested divs, validation, and hair pulling

hey all
I'm having a hard time figuring out what I did wrong here

yesterday the layers worked fine, last night in order to validate I removed
topmargin, leftmargin, marginheight, marginwidth, added a doctype and a
type="text/javascript" to the code of this page. This morning I get to my
mac at work (@home-PC) and the flipping layers are all over the place!?
anyone know what gives with this? I'm stumped, is it because of all of the
nested divs/ nested tables?


any help would save my scalp a beating. thx.
