when reporting spam to an abuse@ address you also have to be careful and in
fact I don't rec it because I did it for awhile and it just resulted in me
getting more spam! Im guessing that spammers controlled that address/domain
and/or had cracked the box and/or the abuse people sold my email address.

My strategy is to ignore it and hope that it goes away, which has in fact
been very successful.
