[thelist] NS4.7 ignores style (Grrrrrr)

No-can-do.  Forms are black boxes for Netscape 4.x.  Might as well be
trying to change the color of the user's desktop.  There are a raft
of problems with styles on forms with Netscape 4.x.  You could always
use DHTML to emulate the look of a form field and then color it.
