I'm not sure if you are trying to cast this as issue of ethics or of
legal contract.  I think you may be trying to mix the two.  You talk
of rights seems to point toward an ethical debate.  I am firmly of
the view that this not an ethical issue but contractual.  Ownership
of the work required to implement an idea does not necessarily become
the property of the entity that owns the idea.
