Thought I should chime in here being one of the only people both
currently on the evolt list and was on the lasso 5 alpha.
We were testing both windows 2000 version and OSX versions of the new
lasso software. Speed difference really wasn't that great between the
2 (OSX slower). On upgrade to OSX 10.1 things picked up in all areas,
including apache and mySQL (currently running v3 can't remember
exactly what revision. one of the later stable ones).
I really like the combination of Unix under OSX and the apple
interface. It makes it all quite a breeze.
I am biased :-) I haven't used windows 2000. I have previous
versions, but not for running anything like mySQL.
Just thought I should mention.
