Jumping the gun here /. style, but what the heck :)

Looks like NS6.2 has been released, although not publicized yet,

It appears to be based on a nightly mozilla build from last week as the 
about: link shows Gecko/20011019 Netscape6/6.2

Using it now, *totally* faster than moz.9.5 in page rendering, new 
window creation, and startup times(with quick launch enabled). I know we 
say that everytime a new mozilla/ns release rolls, but it is true :)

Also, mail&news is *very* snappy and responsive for IMAP

I'm not saying this is an official netscape 6.2 release or anything, but 
they like to upload new releases to the FTP servers a couple days in 
advance most of the time. You can find it on the NS FTP site at

or I've uploaded the win, mac, linux, and osx *full* install versions to 
http://browsers.evolt.org/index.cfm/dir/navigator/ feel free to download
