I had a similar problem with PWS (Win98). The server could serve normal
("static") HTML files, but when I asked for an ASP file, I got nothing _and_
the server hang (it couldn't serve any more pages). I had to restart Windows
to have the server up again.

Does this description look familiar?

Finally I solved the problem: I installed "Microsoft Data Access
Componenets":

http://www.microsoft.com/data/

A friend of mine had this problem too. I directed him to install MDAC, and
it solved his problem.
