Personally I think anyone who has experienced actual violence like an attack, a
rape, domestic abuse, what have you, would this use of the word profoundly trite.
There's a reason someone who skims money from their company gets a lesser
sentence than someone who attacks their coworkers with a knife. The first while a
crime and immoral, is not an act of *violence* against another human being.
