Memo from Martin P Burns of PricewaterhouseCoopers

>From memory, this is pretty much a standard tutorial/example in
most 'connecting databases to the web' type books. Maybe
one way to attack this is to look in the bookstore for a db/web
book which covers this, and *ahem*repurpose the instructions.

The thing to be aware of is that getting the database design right
in the first place can have a major impact on the effectiveness
and speed of your site.

Can you reccomend a good book?
I'm a designer who's done some work with ASP, but very little with database
connectivity. From what I can see I need to create an 'administrative' page
where the client can set up the courses in the database, and a web page
where the users can sign up for the courses.
I really don't have much more than a very basic idea of how to go about
creating this... and it kind of makes or breaks my relations with a
potentially huge client :P

Well being a programmer and not a designer, I can't stand WYSIWYG editors.
That being said I stay away from them like the plague. Maybe someone else
out there can answer this better?
I do know that some WYSIWYG editors do an OK job of layouts and such, but
for database connectivity I would never dream of doing it WYSIWYG.
