Giulio,

Another issue is that search engines can't spider the site unless you 
provide an alternative text navigation, too, as they won't read the Flash 
navigation (they just read text). So if search engines matter at all, that 
could be another important consideration.

If that does matter and you have a need for more info about designing 
search engine friendly sites, I wrote a tutorial last spring for Digital
