 aaah.  This still appears to be because of the "float". The
answer is still the same.  If you want anything to always
appear under the leftcontent, use the clear:both command,
either in a class or inline.  For interest sake, make the
leftcontent contents only one line and see what happens.
Alternatively make the footer content about four lines and
see what happens.
