I love my Dell inspiron 8100.  Seriously beefy machine.  It even
plays quake3 @ a decent rate...

Regardless of who you buy from ask about which parts are replaceable
by an end-user.  I saved over $700 buy going after-market for a
larger HD & RAM.  Plus the quality was better than what shipped.  The
cpu on my i8100 is even in a ziff socket, so I can replace it.
