there can be only one:

isbn: 1-56592-392-8
title: javascript -- the definitive guide (4th edition)
author: david flanagan
dollars: $44.95
bookpool: $27.50
savings: $17.45
link: http://www.bookpool.com/.x/zqihrqo1h1/sm/0596000480

don't buy this book thinking it's going to be chock-full of tutorials and
examples. that's not what this book is. this book is a down and dirty
reference manual like none other. it will get you started with how the
basics all fit together and it will be there to use as you get better and
better.

good luck,

.jeff
