[thelist] Cancelling onKeyDown in Netscape 6

Oops, I realised after I sent my response, that you were talking about key,
not mouse, events.

I am not sure what is causing the problem.  Have you tried just trimming the
contents back after each keypress event?  I know it seems ugly and
simplistiuc, but it may be a quick solution while you seek a better option.
