I had an interview where they gave me a 5-page test to explain such things
that I couldn't really explain in a paragraph but that I perfectly well knew
how to do. I think showing examples of and talking about previous work is
the best way to verify one has basic web skills.

about their skill sets. I'm actually writing a small quiz to give our
candidates before the
interview just to verify that they have some basic SQL skills, Advanced HTML
skills, programming
