[thelist] OUTLOOK 2002 TAKES FOREVER TO LOAD

I have had office 2002 running on XP professional for about 3 months
now.  When first installed, outlook would load in a flash.  Now it
freezes for almost a minute every time I load it.

I tried deleting all old emails and by that I mean permanently deleting,
not sending to the deleted items folder.

Does anybody know how to fix this?
