I can also personally recommend http://www.NameCheap.com (a reseller for
eNOM.com) for $8.88 per year, and can speak well of their support.

In addition to domain registration, they also offer free URL forwarding and
free email forwarding for those who wish to register and use a domain, but
aren't yet ready to "host" it in a more traditional manner.
