My apologies, I read your line;

and thought you were using and xml/xsl enabled version of office.  Ypo on
your part i think that threw me.  You meant to say .xls I believe.

You can do XML conversions, i.e. read in xml/xsl files directly, using the
new MS office products. Saves a few steps when converting files at times.

My fubar, I will read the mail a little better next time.

Hmm. I'll have to strongly disagree..
First, I'm not saving as in Excel, I'm importing from excel.
Second, I don't have Excel 2002, nor Office XP installed, yet I am able to
do this.
I'm currently running Office 2000, but I was able to do those steps with
Access 97.
