I think I am reading your email right. I would put the webserver on port
80, I could not think of any reason not too. If not port 80 then my next
choice would be port 8080.

I am in the midst of reinstalling Apache after a bad run with one of the
Apache 2 beta's and I was wondering which ports are best and safest to

for web servers on home computers?
Currently I also have IIS 5 for ASP development of one client, but
