Bob, thanks for the tip. I made the EXE, and it compiled fine. I then ran dcomcnfg and added both access and launch privileges for "Everyone" but I'm still getting this confounded permissions err (Server object, ASP 0178 (0x80070005)). I'm gonna try this on my home machine and make sure it's not a computer-specific issue (although I did already un/reinstall IIS). Thanks again.
