[thelist] Horizontal Scrolling

I am developing a website that has frames that horizontally scroll. Some of
them get pretty long and we would like to have anchor functionality for
jumping to deep content. In other words, click a link that scrolls the frame
horizontally to the item.

I tried doing this with named anchors, but it doesn't work on all
prowser/platforms (surprisingly it worked on IE 5.1 Mac, but not IE6 Win).

Is there any other way to do this. JavaScript?
