[thelist] SQL Beginner Book Recommendations?

Howdy,

"The Guru's Guide to Transact-SQL" by Ken Henderson is MS-centric, but
really good.

There's also "Sams Teach Yourself SQL in 10 Minutes" by Ben Forta. I
usually wouldn't recommend a 'Teach Yourself ____ in ___ Minutes/Days/Eons',
and I haven't read it, but Mr. Forta generally does excellent work and 10
minutes is a hurry.

Subject: [thelist] SQL Beginner Book Recommendations?

Does anyone have any recommendations for good books to learn
SQL from? I need to go from being totally ignorant to
pretty expert in a hurry.

Alternatively, what about your personal favourite
SQL-centric sites?

Many thanks in advance

Mark
