[thelist] check for existence of window by name?

okay, I'm trying to come up with a very short function that
checks to see if a window is already open (QT), and if so does
another quick bit of replacing, and if not does your typical
window.open.  I have the second part of the logic down, I'm just
having trouble figuring out how to check to see if any windows
are open with the name QT.

Curse this crazy DOMinating world. ;)
