[thelist] Progressive delays in IE5 (OT?)

A distant memory of some sort of memory leak comes to mind. Can't for the
life of me remember where I read that, but it used to happen on my old win
98 machine.

I'd guess the only 'fix' available would be IE5.5 or 6, or of course another
browser

cheers

alastair

I can't tell you what is causing it or why it's happenening, but I've
seen the same thing happen on my win98 box at home with IE5.. If I know
I'm gonna be browsing around awhile on my winbox, I'll just use mozilla
to skirt this prob(and browsing with tabbed windows is a big plus too!)

new instance is spawned, there is a greater delay. This is IE 5.01,
formally 5.00.3315.1000, with 128-bit encryption, on a Win2K box.
