Memo from Martin P Burns of PricewaterhouseCoopers

-------------------- Start of message text --------------------

I once did some pitch work with a systems integration company who'd
produced the "x minutes until the next bus/train" type displays for a city,
and was surprised to discover how little the timings were based on
calculations involving the relative position of the bus/train...

Cheers
Martin

The site had a rotating image display which was just far too slow for the
average user, which with hindsight I should have had a loading... message.
Instead I had nothing which is similar to how public transport operates...
i
know buses are runnig in the direction oppoisite to the way I want to go
but
will one come my way pretty soon?
