fwiw, you'll usually get better readership in a discussion group with a
title that says what you're seeking, and getting to an answerable question
about shared experience in the first paragraph, rather than a
multi-paragraph description of something someone did that somehow didn't do
what they wanted.

It wouldn't matter so much except such emails tend to drive people away
from full-access communities and into gated communities. People will
usually avoid giving direct feedback about bad messages because they're
then subject to flameage, as I am now.
